The National League of Nursing now requires a master’s in nursing for programs to be accredited. One big issue is not just the nursing shortage but getting quality nursing faculty because we have to replace those who are getting older.
Claudine Dickey, RN, PhD
It’s great have a master’s on the job. It really lets nurses use their experience to teacher the younger generation of nurses.
Becky Cavnar, Admissions
It offers a unique experience to pursue a graduate degree. With my experience in nursing, I feel like I have some unique lessons to share with nursing students to make them excellent role models, mentors and teachers.
Gail Livengood, RN
I’m from a family that’s pro-education and this is the next and obvious path for me. There’s just an encouragement for further education.
